Horsmanship Lessons with Kristen Chasnis
Kristen is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Horse Management. She also brings with her several years experience teaching, show barn management and young horse starting. She is currently showing Training and 1st Level Dressage and schooling 2nd Level at home on her horse, Major Don. She is working on obtaining the scores to earn her Bronze Medal, having already earned the First level requirements.
Horsemanship instruction is focused on teaching students how to handle and interact with horses safely and in a fun and respectful way. Students will learn everything from grooming and tacking to leading and basic riding skills. All lessons are taught one-on-one, allowing us to take everything at the students' individual pace.
Riders who wish to further their equestrian education beyond the basics are able to move on to more advanced lessons with Head Instructor, Kimberly Bench. They are also welcome to participate in showing, clinics or leasing once a minimum level of proficiency is achieved.
